A renovated pump track

For the past few months, the CST has had a new pump track: a dynamic and accessible space designed for all ages. Suitable for bicycles, skateboards, roller skates and scooters, the track allows for smooth, natural movement and offers an engaging experience for both beginners and more experienced users.

The new pump track recently built at the CST represents an improvement on the previous model. It is a new-generation modular track designed to provide a more comfortable riding experience and greater resistance to weather conditions such as rain, snow and ice.

The greater width of the track improves both comfort and safety, making it suitable for younger users and for those trying this type of activity for the first time.

A track designed for everyone

The new track is 89 metres long and 1.4 metres wide. Its galvanised steel structure combines lightness and durability, while the surface is coated with fibreglass reinforced with quartz sand, ensuring good grip in all weather conditions.

The track’s rounded geometry makes it easier to maintain the correct line and provides a more intuitive riding experience. In addition, the moderate height of the rollers contributes to safer use, particularly for less experienced users.

The track is suitable for all wheeled sports, allowing it to be used safely by different users at the same time.

First impressions

Rodolfo and Tommaso were among the first to try out the new pump track, testing the course with different types of equipment. Rodolfo, a BMX enthusiast, highlighted the smooth and comfortable riding experience. “It is an intuitive track to ride, especially for those who do not yet have much experience,” he said, explaining that the course is also accessible to beginners thanks to its natural layout and curves, which make it easy to maintain a steady rhythm without compromising safety. The sequence of the track’s features was also particularly appreciated: the bends and rollers follow one another harmoniously, making the ride both comfortable and engaging.

Tommaso had the opportunity to try out the track on roller skates. He had a positive experience and described the course as fun to ride. However, he also pointed out that a certain level of confidence on roller skates is important in order to use the track safely and comfortably.

The feedback collected shows that the new pump track is suitable for a range of disciplines, offering an engaging experience both for more experienced users and for those wishing to gradually become familiar with this type of activity.
