About CST

The CST offers optimal facilities for many different sporting disciplines, sports camps and training courses involving a wide variety of participants, from schoolchildren to top athletes.

Areas of activity

• Promoting sport for young people: CST hosts multi-sport weeks for schools as well as training camps for sports associations.
• Performance sport: CST houses the national performance centres for Swiss Aquatics, Swiss Athletics, as well as the regional performance centres for the Swiss Football Association, the Ticino Gymnastics Association, the Swiss Italian Ski Federation and Team Ticino. Many national teams and top athletes regularly attend training camps in Tenero.  
• Events: CST is the perfect venue for both sporting and corporate events. 

CST offers a wide range of services

• Planning, organization and consultancy.
• Welcoming and assisting visitors.
• Centre for sports equipment and facilities.
• Arranging accommodation in hostels and on its campsite.
• Catering services including a canteen, bar and refreshment stand.
• Centre for sports medicine and sports surgery.

In addition, CST has administrative support services, a technical team and an engineering workshop. 124 people are employed at CST, performing the equivalent of around 80 full-time jobs.

Free access

The National Youth Sports Centre is open to anyone wishing to walk, jog, go Nordic walking or rollerblading along its paths and trails. In winter, the indoor swimming pool is available for use at certain times of the day. Occasional users of the facilities can shower in the changing rooms and are welcome to visit our well-stocked bar for refreshments.
