Diving

Diving has been an Olympic discipline since 1904. High diving, in particular, is a fascinating sport for spectators. Dives are performed from springboards and platforms up to 10 metres in height.
This water sport requires divers to exercise self-control and concentration. It is characterized by the tension that builds up prior to a dive, the sequence of movements through the air and the entry into the water.
Diving is a popular sport for men and women alike and features in numerous international competitions.
