The fascination of sailing lies in open horizons, contact with the natural world and the opportunity to test one's skills and limitations. For centuries, people have ventured forth on seas and lakes, competing in craft of all kinds and seeking to exploit different wind conditions.

CST provides opportunities for sailing on Lake Maggiore. Groups are advised to take at least three two-and-a-half-hour lessons over a period of a week to acquire the necessary skills and familiarity with the craft.
CST has eight Laser-class boats, four RS Zest boats and one Surprise boat, and provides life jackets and neoprene wetsuits and shoes. There are also two rubber dinghies and a support boat.
Weather forecasts are available from the CST water sports facility.

Safety

Groups are limited to eight people for Laser boats and five people for the Surprise boat.
Y+S courses must take place under the supervision of qualified and recognized Y+S instructors. Other courses must take place under the supervision of qualified instructors. A motor boat licence is required to drive a Surprise boat and/or lifeboat. If necessary, groups can contact Sisport Sagl to book qualified instructors. For more information and details of the sport safety requirements at CST, please refer to the links on the right side of this page.
