Camping

The campsite is open from late March to late October.

The following are available:

  • 35 new-generation tents, each accommodating 20 people and featuring 10 bunk beds. The tents are mounted on a concrete base and have electricity.
  • Tents accommodating 4 and 8 people.
  • Spaces for pitching personal tents or parking campervans (to be confirmed once final details are available).

Compulsory equipment

Participants should bring:

  • the sleeping bag
  • a personal sheet measuring at least 90 × 200 × 30 cm

The CST does not provide disposable pillows or sheets.

Rules

  • The group leader is responsible for the safety of their group.
  • The course leader is required to download the MeteoSvizzera app (local forecasts, 6598 Tenero).
  • We recommend that all instructors and supervisors download the same app as well.

Allocation plan

The allocation plan, showing the assignment of spaces and tents, is uploaded to the customer portal one week before the start of the stay.

Arrival

Tents and equipment are delivered at the following times:

  • Sunday–Monday: 8am–12pm / 1pm–5.30pm
  • Tuesday–Saturday: 1.30 pm–6 pm

Departure

  • Tents must be returned by 12 noon, subject to prior agreement with the campsite manager.
  • Missing or damaged items will be charged for.

In the event of an alarmIn the event of an alarm

In the event of warnings issued by MeteoSwiss:

  • Alert Level 5 (extreme danger): seek shelter indoors immediately (for guests staying in all types of tents).
  • Alert Level 4 (severe danger): seek shelter indoors immediately (for guests staying in 4–8-person tents and in private tents).
