Skimboarding
Skimboarding is a combination of surfing and skateboarding. It is practised through a slide board, smaller and lighter than the surfing ones. The CST is equipped with a skimpool and the related necessary equipment. The boards are available in three different sizes according to the weight of the participants.
The sliding moves and techniques are typical of skateboarding. The essential element is water, therefore it is practised on a skimpool or skimboarding pool, a rigid constanstly sprayed with water. This creates the phenomenon of 'aquaplaning', which allows you to glide across the surface. The best practice is becoming able to juggle 360-degree jumps like a skateboard without losing their balance.
Safety
Wearing a helmet is mandatory for skimboarding.
