Mountain biking

Mountain bikers tend to be nature lovers and enjoy riding alone or as part of a group. The sport demands considerable technical and physical prowess, ranging as it does from one-hour cross-country races to ten-hour long-distance events. For young people especially, it is an excellent introduction to other cycling disciplines.

Offering

CST has around fifty mountain bikes in different sizes and a 100-metre-long pump track. This offers a unique experience and promotes a wide range of motor skills from balance to fine motor coordination. Riders can accelerate by 'pumping' energy to the wheels and constantly shifting their body weight.
The terrain is ideal for shorter or longer excursions around Locarno, the Verzasca Valley, the Maggia Valley, the Magadino plain and the Cardada region. Maps detailing various routes are available from reception.
