Beach soccer

Disciplina dell'air game

As the name implies, beach soccer is played on a sandy pitch. First developed in the 1990s, the discipline has rapidly increased in popularity, especially in the last decade. Recognized by FIFA, beach soccer championships are organized at national and international level.
A team consists of five players, including the goalkeeper. Beach soccer is played barefoot. A match consists of three 12-minute periods. The pitch generally measures 37 by 28 metres.
