This is the title of a documentary produced at the CST as part of the project “I speak another language, but I understand you” (PUAL). Students from three upper-secondary schools representing Switzerland’s three language regions worked together on the film through interviews and reflections involving figures from the Swiss and international sporting world.

For the past few months, the CST has had a new pump track: a dynamic and accessible space designed for all ages. Suitable for bicycles, skateboards, roller skates and scooters, the track allows for smooth, natural movement and offers an engaging experience for both beginners and more experienced users.

From September 2027, the CST will feature a completely new facility: the Aquatic Centre, where training sessions, competitions and educational courses at the highest level can be held in all aquatic sports. The facility will offer advanced technology, provide an environment that meets the highest expectations in terms of quality, and cater to the needs of both beginners and elite athletes.

A few months ago, the Cantonal Centre for Sports Medicine (CCMS) of the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC) moved to its new premises on the ground floor of the CST’s Sasso Rosso building. This provides an opportunity to look back at its history and take stock of its development.

Ticino is now home to Switzerland’s only national training centre for elite golfers. Swiss Golf has chosen Golf Gerre Losone as its base and will also make use of the services offered by the CST. This strategic partnership benefits from the close proximity of the two facilities and will provide members of the national squads with optimal training conditions.

On Sunday, 13 September 2026, the CST and seven other locations across Ticino will open their doors for the twentieth edition of Sportissima. In Tenero, visitors will be able to try around fifty different activities, with something to suit every taste.
