Sport climbing
CST has two climbing facilities: the Basodino tower and the Naviglio gymnasium.
Each wall of the Basodino climbing facility offers nine routes of varying difficulty, suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers. The indoor wall in the Naviglio gym features 14 routes of different difficulty levels using a “double rope” system. The CST provides all necessary climbing equipment (climbing shoes, harnesses, ropes, quickdraws).
The region also offers numerous natural rock walls for climbing. In case of bad weather, CST users can access the bouldering facilities in Riazzino and Giubiasco.
Safety
Sport climbing requires instructors with specific training. Groups are limited to a maximum of 12 participants for both the Basodino tower and Naviglio gymnasium, and 6 participants for CST's outdoor climbing facility. If necessary, groups can contact Sisport Sagl to book qualified instructors. The recommended minimum age to practice this discipline is 10 years.
