    Mission accomplished!

    Over the past few weeks, six AFC apprentices have reached the end of their training journey at CST. We thank Nicole, Norah, Damiano, Dylan, Noah, and Giona for the dedication they have shown over the years and wish each of them a future filled with professional fulfillment and success.

    Impeccable Service for 20 Years

    Amina Graf celebrated her 20th anniversary at the CST as a catering employee. Since June 2005, she has been serving the Centre’s clients and guests with dedication and professionalism, always accompanied by her smile and friendly attitude. Congratulations!

    A Day of Sports and Smiles

    On Saturday, June 7th, the employees of the engineering company MawiGroup held a “Family Day” at the CST. Despite the bad weather, all the scheduled activities were able to take place as planned. The sports practiced included canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, climbing, archery, golf, yoga, and orienteering. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet up, together with loved ones, outside of the work environment.

    Bobsleigh athletes training at the Regazzi Gym

    Last week, the national bobsleigh team athletes held a training camp at the CST in the Regazzi Gym. The purpose of the camp was to develop three key components of the sport: strength, sprint, and push, through targeted exercises and specific training sessions. The athletes are preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games as well as for the World Cup competitions.

    The Regio League Triathlon Lands in Tenero

    On June 1st, the first edition of the Regio League Triathlon was held with great success at the CST. The event, organized by VivaTri, saw the participation of over 150 young athletes born between 2012 and 2018 from all over Switzerland. The distances to be covered varied according to the age of the participants and were divided as follows: 100–200 meters of swimming, 2.4–3.9 kilometers of cycling, and finally 800 meters to 1.1 kilometers of running.

    An inclusive sports day open to everyone

    On May 24 and 25, the CST hosted the third edition of the event “The Sport That Unites,” an inclusive sports day open to all. Over the course of the two days, 200 people took part, engaging in inclusive sports activities for physical disabilities (bocce and climbing) and cognitive/mental disabilities (foobaskill, kin-ball, and fit+fun).

    Skiing Prospects in Training

    Recently several Swiss-Ski athletes took part in a training camp at the CST. The skiers, who compete in the Europa Cup, focused on strength training and team-building activities in preparation for the upcoming season. Also present was Eliane Christen, who achieved two top-15 finishes in World Cup slalom races during the 2024/25 season.

    Swiss Scouting gathered at the CST

    Last weekend, 110 people took part in the annual conference of the presidents of the cantonal scout associations, representing the Swiss Scout Movement. The goal was to exchange ideas in workshops and to translate the Swiss Scout Movement’s strategy into concrete projects for the coming years.

    University students in action at the CST

    From May 2nd to 4th, the CST hosted 880 university students from all over Switzerland. The students competed in various disciplines such as beach volleyball, unihockey, volleyball, and more during the Swiss University Sports Championships. The best results for EHSM were achieved by Adriana Bassi in functional fitness (3rd place out of 8 participants) and by Liam Borioli/Noah Furrer in beach volleyball (5th place out of 22 teams). Congratulations!

    Sport climbing

    Each wall of the Basodino tower offers nine routes of varying difficulty, suitable for beginners and more experienced climbers alike. The indoor climbing wall in the Naviglio gymnasium offers 14 climbs of varying difficulty and uses a double pulley system.

    From 31 July to 6 August, 700 young participants from all over Switzerland will meet in Tenero for the national sports camp.     Swimming pools' replacement approved!

    Swimming pools' replacement approved! After the National Council, the Council of States has also approved the message on real estate 2021. CHF 91.8 million will be invested in the construction of a replacement building for the current swimming pools, and CHF 12.1 million in the construction of a replacement building for accommodation.
